ICT division of Sri Lanka Customs was established with the introduction of computer system in 1992.
Initially this division performed as a project office with 8 staff members & two consultants to introduce ASYCUDA (Automated SYstem for CUstoms DAta) system in Sri Lanka Customs. Today the division is run by over 30 officers fully qualified in Information Technology.
The main tasks of the ICT division are to maintain the Asycuda system and to develop and maintain other systems in all the Cusdec processing sites of the department. This division also handles upgrading of software and hardware.
In addition ICT Division provides statistic & management information to the internal and external clients.
